Pre-purchase examinations at Gil Riley

Pre purchase examinations are available as either two stage or five stage examinations.

A two stage vetting includes a thorough examination on the stationary horse plus trot-up.

A five stage vetting involves a two stage plus examination and assessment at ridden exercise, followed by trotting up and lunging after cooling down.

Pre-purchase examinations are carried out on behalf of the purchaser, will be performed by one of our very experienced vets, and the horse assessed, and advice given, according to the purposes for which it is to be purchased.
